Own a significant piece of Ellenville history! Built in 1928 by the Home National Bank in a Beaux Arts expression, Laid up in an expensive Flemish bond brick and limestone with decorative diamond medallions, dentils and two limestone eagle medallions perched above the roman-arched windows, reminiscent of many banks built in this time period. The interior is also reminiscent of stepping into an old bank. The large center room has high ceilings, hardwood floors and the original, intact vault. There are several offices in the back and upstairs as well. This building has welcomed people to Ellenville for many years with tasteful murals depicting scenes of this beautiful area. There are many possible uses for this building including Hotel, library, museum, place of worship, school, bank, caterer etc. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The building now shows the original name of the bank carved in the frieze.
